learn how to let the character’s story reveal itself!

About the Workshop:

Often as story-tellers we don’t recognize how the characters we play have a story built right into them. It’s clear as day when we know what to look for. Improvisers force the story into scenes, not seeing that the characters we create already have a path to follow, a journey to take and a destiny to be fulfilled. This workshop will focus on character creation to help us see the story, the characters’ story. Making characters’ relationships more important. Looking for the clues we create early in scenes to pay off at the end. It’s not as hard to tell a story as improvisers make it.

This workshop uses improv techniques, but it can be useful for anyone who’s looking for another way to enrich their writing and storytelling.
