About the show:

Join us for an immersive journey of courage and community that celebrates Mediterranean heritage! In this journey we will combine music with bread making traditions from this area, as both have qualities to connect, to celebrate and to activate multiple senses. Bravery is found in practising these arts and crafts especially within the rhythm of modern society.

Step into the vibrancy of traditional music and storytelling, where our performers – two multi-instrumental percussionists/singers – become storytellers, musicians, and bakers. Experience enchanting tales, captivating rhythms, and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread.

Sounds, stories, and scents will take you on a sensory journey that reveals the origins and significance of bread and live music in human culture.

Connection

For centuries, bread and music has symbolized unity across the sun-kissed landscapes of the Mediterranean basin. Both elements represent essential needs for survival, fostering connection and therefore community, beyond differences.

Celebration

We celebrate and respect our unity by experiencing this journey together, across cultures and generations. We also honour artisanal and artistic beauty. For us, this defines abundance.

Multi-sensoriality

In this performance the audience will be immersed in a multisensory experience. Through live music, live bread baking and storytelling, our senses will be stimulated in multiple ways.
