A journey into forgotten memories of youth

About the show:

The performance Field trip is a first-hand statement from a journey that for students is considered the highlight of their school year. For their teacher these are the 3 days when she encounters the limitations of her age, memories of her youth and yearning for moments that may or may not have happened. With a backpack and camping equipment on her back, she sets up to meet with her body and experience the field trip. Climbs up on the hills and brakes on the slope she invites the audience to try and work out together moments that may have been forgotten on the side of the road.

Bio:

Totzeret Bait (Hebrew for “Homemade”) was founded as a theatre group in 2010 by Abigail Rubin and Yoav Bartel, and was officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture in 2021.  The group’s performances combine theatre and dance and are characterised by a blurring of boundaries between reality and fiction, stage and audience. Throughout the last decade, the creators of Totzeret Bait directed no less than ten different productions such as “Shall We Dance”, which to this day is considered a groundbreaking production and can also be seen at the festival this year!
