About the artist:
Gabriel van Hoften has graduated from the art academie Gerrit Rietveld in 1991,
in Amsterdam, in painting and free graphics. She lives and works in Amsterdam.
Her way of painting is instinctual, without a preconceived plan. She is inspired
by the size and endless possibilities in terms of form and color.
She hold herself open to an intuitive inspiration, where the brain doesn’t
consciously involve in what the hand performs. Her motifs come easily to her. By opening up herself, a new world arises, full of magic and enchantment, a dreamworld.
