Fifteen years ago Rainer Maria Rilke’s panther approached Mareike Tiede, circling around her. The panther came so close, that the hair stood up on the back of her neck. That was the moment when Mareike knew she needed to find out: “How can I create worlds with words?” She became a speaker, taught actors, journalists and teachers and performed on stage. Mareike is a graduate of the Mezrab Storytelling School. Back in Austria, where she lives, she combines storytelling with acting and performing.

What happens if you literally lose your head? If you look ugly and you know it?

Sisterhood is a Norwegian tale about two sisters. One a beauty, the other one with a face and figure that doesn’t suit anywhere. Mareike invites you to follow the sisters on their journey where they meet the dark and wild side of life, and to witness their transformation. A transformation that might inspire you in your own life.
